NCCA Autocross a great success!
NCCA held its round of the VCAS at Melton on Sunday November 9th and it was a great success. A field of 62 cars fronted at the event and were met with an initially slippery track which dried out quickly to become fast and grippy. The water truck showed its grill only once and the track quickly recovered to have drivers enjoying five runs.
Our members did very well also, with Steve Porter doing well in his class and finishing 5th outright.
Big thanks go to Stewie Stevenson for directing the event, Jan Woods for being secretary and Steve Porter for his assistance before the event. Thanks also to our friendly scrutineer, Gordon and his team of helpers for getting cars through the check line without too much waiting, and to the timing team led by Ahmet. Trevor Woods and Sandiiiiiiiii Cuttle entered the times into the computer and had these available quickly for competitors - thanks to them also. Final thanks to the stewards, Brett and Lynn.
